By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these terms, together with our delivery policy, returns and refunds policy and privacy policy. Please read them before you buy.

Using this website

You may browse and buy from this website for your own personal use. You agree not to misuse it, for example by trying to get into parts of it you are not meant to, copying its content or catalogue in bulk, or placing orders you do not intend to pay for.

If you create an account, keep your password private and make sure your details are correct. You are responsible for orders placed through your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.

Perfumes and descriptions

We describe every perfume’s notes, character, strength and season as carefully as we can. How a perfume smells, develops and lasts depends on your skin, the weather and how you wear it, so it will not be the same for everyone. Descriptions such as longevity and projection are a guide, not a promise.

Photographs show the bottle as supplied to us. Houses sometimes update their bottles and boxes, so the packaging you receive may differ slightly from the photograph. The volume (ml) is shown on each product.

“Inspired by” and other brands

Where we say a perfume is inspired by, or smells like, another fragrance, that name is used only to describe the character of the scent and to help you compare. The perfume is an original product of the house it is listed under and is not the other fragrance, a copy of its bottle, or a product of that brand.

Arco Beauty is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the owners of those other brands. All trade marks belong to their respective owners.

Prices and payment

• All prices are in South African rand (ZAR). The delivery fee is added at checkout before you pay.
• Prices and promotions may change at any time, but a change will not affect an order you have already paid for.
• If a perfume is shown at a clearly wrong price because of an error, we will contact you before dispatch and you may choose to pay the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
• You can pay with the methods shown at checkout. Card payments are processed securely by our payment provider, and we never see or store your full card details.
• Orders paid by manual EFT are held for three working days. If we have not received the payment by then, the order may be cancelled and the stock released.

Your order

When you place an order you will receive an email acknowledging it. This is not yet an acceptance. Your order is accepted, and a contract between you and Arco Beauty is formed, once your payment has been received and confirmed.

All orders depend on stock being available. If a perfume turns out to be unavailable after you have paid, we will contact you to offer a similar perfume, to wait for new stock, or a full refund for that item. We may refuse or cancel an order where we suspect fraud, or where we cannot deliver to the address given, and will refund anything you have paid.

Delivery

We deliver within South Africa as set out in our delivery policy. Delivery times are estimates. Responsibility for your order passes to you once it has been delivered to the address you gave us.

Cancellations, returns and refunds

You may cancel an online purchase within seven days of receiving it under section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, and return faulty goods under the Consumer Protection Act. How this works, and which items cannot be returned for hygiene reasons once opened, is explained in our returns and refunds policy.

Using perfume safely

Perfume is for external use only. Some people are sensitive to fragrance ingredients, so test a new perfume on a small area of skin first and stop using it if irritation develops. Do not spray near the eyes, on broken skin or near a flame, and keep bottles away from children and out of direct sun and heat.

Promotions and discount codes

Promotions run while stocks last or until the stated end date. Unless stated otherwise, only one discount code can be used per order, codes cannot be exchanged for cash, and they do not apply to delivery fees. If you return an item bought on promotion, the refund is the amount you actually paid for it.

Reviews and messages

Reviews and messages you send us must be honest and lawful, and must not contain anyone else’s personal information or content you do not have the right to share. We may decline or remove reviews that break these rules, but we do not remove reviews simply because they are negative.

Our content

The design, text, scent descriptions, photographs and logo on this website belong to Arco Beauty or are used with permission. You may not copy or reuse them for commercial purposes without our written consent.

Liability

We take care to keep this website accurate and working, but we cannot promise that it will always be available or free of errors. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the website. Nothing in these terms limits any liability, or any right you have, that cannot be limited under the Consumer Protection Act or other South African law.

Privacy

We handle your personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), as set out in our privacy policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you place your order is the one that applies to that order. The date at the top of the page shows when they were last changed.

Law and complaints

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. If something goes wrong, please contact us first, and we will do our best to put it right quickly. If we cannot resolve your complaint, you may contact the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud (cgso.org.za) or the National Consumer Commission (thencc.org.za).
